(HARRISBURG) – Sen. Jake Corman (R-34) today announced that four county fairs in the 34th Senatorial District will be the recipients of state grants. Corman said the Centre County Grange Fair, the Union County West End Fair, the Juniata County Fair, and the Perry County Community Fair will receive state grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Fair Fund to assist with capital projects.
The Centre County Grange Fair will receive $16,250, the Union County West End Fair will receive $7,098, the Juniata County Fair will receive $4,000, and the Perry County Community Fair will receive $2,750 in state grant funding.
Corman said the Fair Fund was established to help maintain the agricultural integrity of fairs in Pennsylvania. The fund also helps to support county agricultural youth organizations and statewide organizations with an agricultural mission.
“I am very pleased to announce this grant on behalf of the Commonwealth,” Corman said. “I supported this grant program that was funded in this year’s state budget and will continue to support programs that help to promote Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry.”
Senator Jake Corman, the Senate’s Majority Policy Chairman, represents the 34th Senatorial District, which includes Centre, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry and Union Counties.
