Sen. Corman to Join Local Officials, Business Owners at Monday News Conference to Oppose Plan to Cut Area Companies Out of Rockview Bidding Process

Senator Jake Corman (R-34) will join local officials and business owners at a news conference on Monday, June 22 to voice their opposition to a decision by the state Department of General Service to enter into project labor agreements (PLAs) for the construction of the new 2,000-bed prison in Rockview. The decision will prevent non-union companies from bidding on work, effectively cutting out most of the businesses in the area.

The news conference will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, June 22, at the Benner Commerce Park, located on the Benner Pike at the intersection of I-99 and Rt. 150. The road into the Park is Progress
