Harrisburg – Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Jake Corman (R-34) today applauded the selection of Charles Zogby to serve as Budget Secretary in Gov.-Elect Tom Corbett’s incoming administration.
“Charles Zogby has the experience and reputation to take on what will be a very demanding job, and I look forward to working with him in steering Pennsylvania through these trying economic times,” said Corman.
“There will be no easy choices in the years ahead, and the General Assembly will have to work with the new Budget Secretary to ensure that the Commonwealth lives within its means and honors its commitment to taxpayers to operate as efficiently as possible,” Corman said. “I have great confidence in the ability of Charles Zogby to rise to the occasion.”
Charles Zogby served as Director of Policy for former Gov. Tom Ridge and Education Secretary under Governors Ridge and Mark Schweiker, and has been an outspoken advocate for education reform.
