Senator Jake Corman (R-Bellefonte) was sworn in to his fourth term in office today during ceremonies at the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Senator Corman represents the 34th Senatorial District, which includes parts of Centre, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry and Union Counties. He was first elected to office in 1998.
Senator Corman is currently the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee. He also serves as a member of the Banking and Insurance, Finance, Rules and Executive Nominations and State Government Committees.
“Working to craft a fiscally responsible budget, keep spending levels low and move our economy forward will be my top priorities in the coming legislative session,” Corman said. “Joining with the new Administration, I think we can make government more efficient and accountable to the taxpayers.”
Corman said he will also focus on constituent services and making sure that people in his district have access to state government and to programs and services that they need.
