Corman to Host “Kids Day with the State College Spikes on Saturday August 13

State Senator Jake Corman (R-Centre) will host a free “Kids Day with the State College Spikes” from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, at Medlar Field in Lubrano Park in State College PA.

Corman said the educational event will feature representatives from state and local agencies who will provide information for parents, kids and grandchildren.  Attendees will have an opportunity to take part in games and activities, enjoy a free lunch and meet the Spikes players.

The first 258 attendees will receive a Spikes Bullpen Box Ticket Voucher valid for any remaining 2011 regular season Spikes Games.

Door prizes will include a game used autographed bat, a spikes suite rental, a voucher for a group of 10 all-you-can-eat seats – and an opportunity for an on-field picture with a Spikes player.

“This is a fun and informative event for kids and families, and I urge area residents to stop by,” Corman said. “There are many activities, a chance to meet Spikes players, and learn more about state and local programs that may be helpful to families.”
