Corman: “Scenes of the 34th Senatorial District” Photo Contest in Full Swing

2017 Calendar Will Feature Residents’ Pictures of the 34th District

(BELLEFONTE) – With summer vacations drawing to a closes, residents of the 34th Senatorial District are reminded to grab their cameras and start clicking to have their work featured in State Senator Jake Corman’s second annual photo contest.

“Today’s technology means cameras are at our fingertips to capture the many picturesque things the state and especially the 34th District has to offer,” said Corman, the Senate Majority Leader. “The photo contest is the ideal time to share that with us. A shot of your favorite landmark, a feature photo of a beautiful flower or backyard in full bloom, a something from one of our scenic parks and forests is what we are looking to feature.”

The contest is open to all residents of the 34th Senatorial District (Centre, Juniata, Mifflin and parts of Huntingdon counties). The photos must be or have been taken within the district and should provide a scenic description of one of the four seasons.

Photo submission runs from July 1, 2016, until September 9, 2016, at Once all the photos have been submitted, those visiting the same website will be able to vote for their favorite photos in each of the categories until September 30, 2016.

The top three photos in each category (three per season), based on public vote, will be featured in the 2017 “Senator Jake Corman’s Scenes from the 34th Senatorial District Calendar.” Complete details can be found by going to
