Corman Urges Community to Learn More about Protecting Themselves Against Fraud at Consumer Event

As part of National Consumer Protection Week, community members who want to learn more about protecting themselves against scams and fraudulent consumer practices will have a chance to talk to experts from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office Monday at the Nittany Mall, Senator Jake Corman (R-34) announced today.

“Each week, scammers have a new trick they are using to separate consumers from their hard-earned money,” Corman said. “The goal is to connect our neighbors with experts to provide education, answer questions and assist in filing complaints. Online threats will also be addressed, as well as other issues that consumers face each day.”

The event is being held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, at the Centre Region Active Adult Center, 2901 E. College Ave., State College (inside the Nittany Mall).
