In order to pay tribute to 2,977 innocent lives lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks, I plan to host a special “Run to Remember” community event on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Bellefonte Middle School.
The event will begin with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m., to be followed by an untimed 9.11k run. Participants will each be given a remembrance card with information about one of the individuals who lost their life on that fateful day so they can run in their honor. On-site registration will available for runners beginning at 7 a.m., and the first 150 runners to register either through the website or the day of the event will receive a free t-shirt.
Seating is expected to be limited for the opening ceremony, so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or something similar if they could have difficulty standing for a long period of time.
If you would like to participate in the event as a runner or attendee, please list your contact information below.
Although online registration is closed, runners can still register on site beginning at 7 a.m. We hope to see you there!
